Next we went to Kuroki, a place I had been itching to go for a long time, based on the impressive pictures of this house in my North Dakota book. It was definitely worth the trip!



All that's left of Kuroki is this house and an elevator. You're probably thinking "Kuroki" is a strange name for a small town in North Dakota. It is allegedly named after Kuroki Tamemoto, a Japanese general. Though I have no idea why. North Dakota has tons of inexplicable town names.
