Greetings from Forest Falls, CA where last week we received about 4 feet of snow! And it is STILL coming down in LOADS. It has been insanity here, getting all the kids warm and out of the near blizzard like storm we had going on. The snow is really fun but driving was SO scary and it just makes everything harder and takes more time. The normal 1 hour drive from costa mesa to redlands took over 3 hours. and even driving that slow i was hydroplaning all over the place in the rain. my heart keep dropping and i was so nervous. i left my car in town and drove up with my friend jarrod. we started the drive up the mountain. it hella started to snow and we had to put his chains on which was a joy and a half. it actually wasnt hard once we got the hang of it. just time consuming and SOOOOO cold. i had my snow jacket packed (DUMB) and my windbreaker was not covering enough of my body to keep me dry. mrow. it was SO blizzardy and we kept sliding even with chains in his jeep! my car is like NEVER going to freaking make it. im REALLY scared to drive. i was also hella worried about my car left in town :( but there was nothing i could do. we made it there safely, more or less. A little touch and go at times but fine nonetheless. We were the only site open in the whole program which was nice that we get to work but dang it was SOOOO stormy.
