I’ve been doing some thinking today about my way of treating my closest friends. And by closest I mean really close, those people who I would do almost anything for if they need me.

I realized that the more I care about someone, the more annoyingly protective and patronizing I become with him/her….

One never knows what may be useful come life as it goes on... In the end, I wouldn't try to change or control that part of you as much as open it up to communication. It's the willingness to talk about it that's important, and no, being mature is not bad at all, but it certainly isn't all-encompassing when dealing with people. Nothing ever is. (^_^)"

Communication... this is the hardest thing to do when I deal with people my age....

and yes- everything makes perfect sense, don't worry :) thanks!

Maybe I will follow your advice and talk about this a bit more with the people concerned...
