This morning I was a rather bad student--I think it was the sunshine. I took longer than I should have getting ready, and so left my flat certainly without enough time to get to class on time.. and I did not care nearly as much as I should have. I walked leisurely through Seaton Park, then up to the library and eventually to class, casually talking with friends I met on the way! How awful of me! But it was a beautiful morning, really sunny! Then I came here to the computer room in MacRobert, where I am procrastinating, trying to avoid finishing my final History of Art essay that is due in approximately an hour and a half. Ha.
Yesterday was a fantastic day! I went to my last Sunday service at St Columba's in the morning, and Naomi invited us over to her flat for lunch afterwards, which was quite pleasant. I love how often people seem to do that--invite people over to share food and conversation. I hope I do that when I have a living room and a bigger kitchen again! So kind. Anyway, I left a bit earlier than some of the others because I needed to work on this essay. So I worked for a bit, and then began my Project (an apple pie :P) for my flatmates... and then we had our Flat Dinner! It was beautiful, let me just tell you. Amelia brought the drinks, Isla made us Haggis, Neeps, 'n' Tatties for a starter, Portia made Chinese Coca-Cola Chicken, Parnika made us rice and curry, and we finished off with my applie pie and Emma's ice cream. It was quite the international dinner, and way too much fun to actually hang out with all of them together :) Just brilliant.
The day before was.. Saturday! I played Ultimate in the park, as usual, and somehow managed to injure Kev, who is a good foot or so taller than me. Yes, I actually knocked him flat on the ground and he was on the sideline for the rest of practice. How did I become so accidentally aggressive?! Meaning no disrespect to him (because I do feel very badly for it), I think it did end up kinda funny.. people were laughing at me for the rest of practice for managing to take out someone so much bigger than me. :)
Eh, I think I've covered enough days. :) If you want to know more about my life, call me next week and we'll hang out! I'm back in Troy Saturday evening, back in Holland in January. Now THAT's a crazy thought.
