(no subject)
Monday night was the SELF soiree for all the people taking english classes at the school. It was pretty fun but nonstop strobe lights in the place were making me feel sick so I left kind of early (1am is early). Good pictures were taken though. Everyone has seemed to find everyone else on facebook so tons of pictures from the past couple of weeks have been shared. I'll be posting them here of course.
I FINALLY got my credit card and cell phone today. I can't believe I haven't had a cell phone for two weeks. I actually didn't really miss it while I didn't have it but now that I have one, I remember how good it feels to be connected. The most attractive french guy helped me get a phone today too. He was the only one that spoke slightly good english in the whole store and I really didn't want to mess around with french while I was trying to get a phone contract. He was so nice but when I left, I didn't even get his name or anything. But no bother, he ended up getting my number from my contract and texted me to ask me to go out with him later this week. Finally! A french person to hang out with. I might actually get to practice speaking the language. I love all the people I've been hanging out with but they all speak english and I am getting NO practice whatsoever. Plus, this guy is REALLY cute.
School starts this coming Monday so I think my posts are not going to consist only of going out and partying, haha. Plus, I'm going to start travelling more and more so that will be exciting. We already have a trip to Amsterdam all set up, then we're probably going to go to Berlin and Prague for Jamie's birthday in November. I have a couple of friends to visit throughout France and one in England and then several concerts around Europe to attend (which is a good way to plan where I want to visit). Thank god for cheap student flights and discount rail passes.
