This weekend was very relaxing. I'm loving the weather here. During the week it's been staying kind of cold and then once the weekend comes around, it warms up to about 73 degrees and stays sunny the whole day ( Read more... )

So not to say I'm not excited about living in France and being able to experience that culture and cuisine.

BUT

Is it true that wine is cheaper than water?

haha well it depends on what kind of wine you get. but no not necessarily. although you can order un pot de vin at a restaurant and then order un bouteille d'eau and they'll bring you a huge bottle of evian and sometimes that does cost more.

Lacoste. You'll be lucky if you can find it on a map. It's in Provence and it's a very small town with a population of 200 - 300. It's 45 minutes from Avignon, I think.

I looked on a map to see where you are in relation to me and it says 2 and a half hours in a car. I don't know what that means in terms of going to a train station then getting a train but you're not too far.

Definitely, we'll be in Paris my second week for 5 days. Then my plane comes back to the US 2 weeks after my quarter ends so I'll be traveling around europe after that. A bunch of us are going to try to go to Germany for Oktoberfest.

Regardless I definitely am going to try to go to Lyon. From what I've heard the food there is supposed to be some of the best in France, better than Paris.

Well I have a friend who will let me and friends stay with him during Oktoberfest but he's in Stuttgart so it's not the actual Oktoberfest thing that happens in Munich but it's Germany and pretty close to Munich. So it's close enough.

As far as Paris I think I get into Paris on the 19th but I'm not sure. Off Campus programs has no idea what they are doing and niether will I until I arrive in Lacoste.

What kind of brains?
