So when I listed the work-related things i do not like, I mentioned how cold it is here. And it is. So, very, cold.
My office is so cold, in fact, that i am going to make copies of my hands so that the copy machine may provide some heat, and then maybe i'll make a bunch of blank copies so that when they come out all nice and warm, i can rub them all over myself.
I may alternate between that and smooshing myself up against the big glass window in the kitchen like a Garfield toy because the sun hits it directly and there's very little insulation so it's nice and toasty.
If you look in my closet, you'd swear it was the closet of a girl from up north....definitely not of someone who lives in south Florida. The majority of my clothes include sweaters, jackets, and long sleeve shirts, because that's seriously how i have to dress when I come to work - if not I'll end up like a popsicle by the end of the day. The problem is that about half of this small office consists of either burly men or menopausal women (people I don't like to argue with), and they get hot easily so they like to keep the office at a cool 68 degrees. And on top of that, this office has very high, exposed ceilings, concrete floors (no carpet), and is pretty much just one giant box so there's no insulation whatsoever.
Well, if everything works out I won't have to deal with this much longer. ::keeps fingers crossed::
