Overwhelmed...
Finding myself in the unfortunate position of having overbooked my fall. Luckily not in regards to paid work with deadlines, but in regards to personal projects, and the portfolio work I had hoped to finish by IlluxCon. The house closing and repairs before we can move in are taking up more time than initially calculated (which is how houses always go as I understand it). Just feeling a bit overwhelmed and disappointed in myself that I won't have much new to show since Spectrum, I have to remind myself that I worked SDCC for the first time this year, and started a ceramics business too, but that doesn't stop me looking at the fact that I thought I'd have at least a couple new pieces for IX and being pretty sad about it. I am gonna make my reward/incentive for these past two crazy months be a big piece to do for an art book I was invited to be a part of. Oh, and my work for TFF, which I am SO excited about. I also have some awesome commissions in queue that I am starting but I am struggling to find time for it all with this house/moving/everything going on. We are refinishing floors today/tomorrow. I work tommorrow night, then we pack like mad. Moving date was supposed to be Sat, but the floors will still be curing, so now its Monday. Then Stu leaves Thursday early morning for a wedding, comes back Monday, and I leave Tuesday for IlluxCon... so yeah... thats a thing... Looking forward to Nov. B/c apparently we won't really be doing much unpacking until then, b/c we won't both be home until then :/
