i am finally going to update on the past week.
life is amazing. my birthday was ten times better than i could have ever imagined. i felt so loved and cherised and just happy--the most genuine kind of happy.
i spent the day in central park with susan just reading and relaxing in the prettiness. and then we went on the carousel and she bought me ice cream with rainbow sprinkles from the ice cream truck...the best way to say good-bye to my teenage years (oh my, how sad). and then we came back and got ready and went out to my birthday dinner with susan, alley, brittany, allison, and jill (our fourth roommate for the summer) at the Mercer Kitchen.
dinner was amazing! we ended up getting free drinks, appetizers, and desserts because alley knows one of the managers. it was such a special birthday...and i got to wear a fuzzy pink tiara.
i got tons of special gifts, which all made me cry. allison got me this cute martini sign for my wall and a super fun book on "the perfect man." haha, it is great. and susan got me the booklet for ashes and snow and it is beautiful! brittany got me the dirty minds game which totally makes me laugh.
my mom sent me a gift box and the card was so amazing and it made me cry. she got me a yoga mat and a collection of disney princess plates, cups, napkins, and party hats to have a princess party. haha.
other than that, i got to see Rent on tuesday and i loved it! so awesome.
basically i have just been working and life has been normal and good, not too much to report other than that. today all of a sudden i really missed home and just want to go back for a weekend. but i don't think i can. oh well. i will be home in august.
