wash out this tired notion that the best is yet to come.
i thought i would update this thing.
this weekend has been grand fun! and i got absolutely nothing worthwhile done.
thursday i went out to new jersey with allison. we went to the New Jersey Ballet's annual gala preformance with jeff. it was wonderful. the ballet pieces were incredible. jeff didn't dance because his foot is injured. and he got us seats at the amazing dinner afterwards. it was soo super yummy and fun. we even got goody bags! i got a full bottle of ralph lauren glamorous perfume...it is incredible.
and friday night i went to La Cage aux Folles, a broadway show that the movie The Birdcage was based off of, with jeff. his uncle is a trumpet player for broadway shows, so he got us free tickets. and then we went to this amazing little french restaraunt and ate dinner and did wine tastings. dave, jeff's uncle, is actually a licensed wine connoseur (sp?). so he told me all about the wines and how to taste them, etc. it was great fun! and we even got dessert wines. it was such a wonderfully fabulous night.
and then last night we had brittany's birthday celebration and allison, becca, and i baked a funfetti cake with color dot icing. it was incredible! props to our baking skills. and then we all went to the french restaraunt and had wine and dinner--it was so much fun. and we came back here and played dumb middle school games. it was the perfect night out with friends.
talk about a weekend of culture. it was a blast. i couldn't have asked for anything more. of course, i managed to avoid all my work. which now means that i have to play major catch up tomorrow. it will be super fun.
i really need a haircut. i have one scheduled for when i get home...it seems so far away. my plans for the summer are so up in the air. and it is so close. it kinda scares me. hopefully everything will fall into place at the last minute. if not...c'est la vie.
