the gig is up! maybe

Since they fired my boss, I've been reporting to another guy who isn't really a boss but is the one to whom I report status and that goes to the real boss. We're finally going live (again) with the new Electronic Medical Record in a week. I have an interface that I'm doing a lot of work on. After the interface is running, they are hot on some reports that need to be changed. Reports are exactly what I'm not good at. Never have been because I'm so not interested in the database that I can't concentrate long enough to really understand it. Is there anything more boring? A coworker of my loves report writing. He says if I was there in person, he could take reports and I could take interfaces. I'd do that.

But I'm not. So after my interface is doing well, they want me to do all kinds of report stuff. I'm wondering how long I can string them along about what I'm trying to do. I'm wondering how quickly I can find a job. I'm wondering if I can find a job that allows me to volunteer one night at my internship site once the internship is done. I really want to continue there, doing the work I'm doing. It means a lot to me. I find it very fulfilling and I really enjoy my clients and the good people that work/intern/volunteer there. I think they're doing something very worthy. Can I find a job before I become useless at my job? I hope so. I'd planned to start looking soon. Looks like I'd better get a move on that plan!!!!!
