We're really on vacation...
I think it's just setting in for me that we have actually graduated... no more high school, and that we are actually beginning our fourth, yup, fourth, week of summer vacation. One would think that this might have hit me before, but nope, it is just coming to me now. Reasons for this breakthrough:
1.) Karla's party. She is reallye leaving in about 2 weeks and it's crazy to think that she's been here a whole year already - the time just seemed to fly by.
2.) Orientation. Okay, mixed feelings about this as some know but it's here, ready or not. Two days of meeting my new classmates and getting acclimated to new surroundings, fun, yes, scary, yup, that too.
3.) Going to Maine. Spending time sitting around doing, well, nothing for two days can really get you in the swing of summertime. I was fortunate enough to spend Monday and Tuesday, the only truly nice days weather wise (in my opinion) of the weeks sitting and reading on the lake. It was great.
The rest of the week, semi uneventful, not really anything noteworthy, worked, worked, worked, Thurs. Fri. (Great movie, the Spanish Apartment - I recommend it!) Sat, Went mini golfing on Friday and got eaten by bugs, but hey, what can you expect?!
Saturday, a very busy day... Work, work at the farm, Karla's party (very fun!) babysitting, Karla's party. She's so cute, I sincerely hope that I am able to visit her next year.
Excitement: New Harry Potter book and maybe time to read it. Going to PA in one week!!! Can't wait!
