law degree = asshole

i can't really go into specifics b/c of attorney/client privilege, but i must say i had the most awful employment experience today at work.

i'm a paralegal. i send documents back and forth to attorneys' offices. that is part of my job description.

this morning, one of the attorneys i work for screamed at me in front of the entire office for doing my job. he was simply upset because the person who contacted me about the document did not contact him directly. who contacts who is not my job. i am not a secretary.

and may i add, that my dad is a retired army major and never in my life had i been yelled at like that in my life...and i have been yelled at a lot.

let me say that while his secretary apologized to me on his behalf, i find it sad and pathetic that someone who conducts business with people on a daily basis feels the need to take out anger on me, when i did nothing wrong at all. you will never get anywhere in life by screaming at people to get your point across. if you've accomplished things in life by doing so, then unfortunately for you, no one has told you to shut the fuck up yet.

fortunately for me, the other attorney i work for is extremely nice and understanding. he is the only reason i didn't walk out of here this morning.

unfortunately, there is really no higher power to go to about this situation. the office manager works for the attorneys; there is really nothing to be said but this.....no one is to ever scream at me like that again. ever.

ok i've said my peace.

what a week to quit smoking....GRRRR.

and on top of that TY GOT SENT HOME FROM ROCKSTAR:INXS. he was the coolest performer. i'm saddened.
