1930 - 2006

"On one hand, I like for the eight to have exclusivity, because you need to have certain characteristics to be a planet. It shows kids that some things do have to change. We need to teach modern science and use the new definitions," one teacher said. "But on the other hand, I'd like to stick with tradition," she said. "Let Pluto be grandfathered in."



Sorry boy, I understand that the planet was found the same year you were born. But now, you're named after no one special. Little kids won't associate science with you anymore. Because, hey, who learns about "dwarf planets" in astronomy class?
