Light, from the darkness, the stories said.
Resorting to his military skills and the Second World War slogan, “Keep Calm and Carry On”, as he placed his friends in the cryofreezer, Jack tried to think if those same stories also offered more specific advice about what to do when you’re the only one left alive. If they did, he sure as hell couldn’t remember.
Once he’d cleaned the Hub, Jack considered his next step. His own stories said one star in the unforgiving black was better than nothing.
There had to be something salvageable from this, no matter how small.
