That's so utterly gorgeous. I freely admit to having an immense crush on Estelle, I think she's lovely, so I'm thrilled to find a fic wherein she not only lives through Small Worlds but also figures out Jack's immortality, convinces Torchwood to trust her and let her help out, and gets told she's beautiful and desirable and taken dancing.

Aw! It's got to be painful for Jack, know that at best, he's only got a few years more with her, but it's an unexpected second chance and it's so very sweet (and a naughty :P)

I like that you've had Estelle piece together a few things. I think it would take a really intelligent, really sharp woman to capture so much of Jack's real affection for so long, so it's nice to see some of that credit extended to her character.

Estelle fic! with the detail and the words not around for twenty years, and hee, yes, it was obvious that she'd seen right through him in the ep. And nice take on Jack as seen through the eyes of someone who'd only known him as a soldier.

(and as for the keeping mum thing - try my granny. utter blabbermouth, and she was the one who worked at the listening posts (receiving the stuff sent to Bletchley Park) - I have no idea how she kept quiet.)
