Our Last Hope
In late 1989, the Torchwood satellites picked up a message of unknown origin. London, despite having the best and brightest, still couldn’t even begin to decode it.
So, a copy of the documentation ended up in Cardiff, in the hands of Jack Harkness. The moment he opened the file, Jack recognised the language.
It was that of the long dead planet, Krypton.
However, Jack’s Kryptonian was rusty, and he lacked the luxury of the TARDIS in his head.
He wasn’t sure what message the alien shapes conveyed.
Jack summoned his latest recruits. “Beth, Peter. Got a translation project for you...”
