Enjoying Fringe

Jan 04, 2010 22:20

I must say that I thoroughly enjoy Fringe. I heard someone describe it as "X Files updated" but apart from having FBI agents it's nothing like X Files, really.  There is an obvious main arc involving Global Dynamics, William Bell and The Pattern but what holds my attention is the wonderfully crazy Walter Bishop.

I just saw the episode There's More Than One of Everything and there's a series of reveals, each more enticing than the the previous, and all revolving around alternate realities. But, best of all was... ...that William Bell was played by Leonard Nimoy! I recognised the voice after the first two words. This was cool because last night I was watching Spock VS Q (Leonard Nimoy & John de Lancie) on Youtube.

It was also the end of the first season, though GO! are already showing episodes from the 2nd season. Of course the beauty of having a digital TV recording setup, is that I can watch them any time I like.
