Fifty Two

Fifty Two Today. There seem to be many things that match 52 on the Google search link above. The most notable, for me, is the B-52s, as I might just catch them at A Day on the Green. It'd be funny if I saw the B-52s when I was 52! :)

Last night I didn't get to sleep, I was working on a web comic, learning how to use the inbuilt page generation system and CSS to make it look pretty. There's a wiki for it, but I think (when I have time) I'll rewrite it. Still, I've been having fun re-organizing my web comics. I know I've finally found the right home for them. Put a lot of work into this in the last week - in fact I was probably very OCD over it.

Anyway, today I haven't felt tired yet. I'm doing the washing up and enjoying it. I walked the dogs, and will walk them again when I buy dinner at the chips shop. But otherwise, I'm staying home and enjoying my own space (+ pets of course) while K & M are way. Last night when I phone Mum I heard that she had moved, even though the old place hasn't sold yet (but it will). I'm glad, because the family home of 40+ years was just too much for her, and the new place sounds just right.

I have appointments tomorrow to sort sort out my confirmation, and though I haven't done much preparation I'm not worried. I feel in the moment for now, and I'm enjoying this. I kinda wish Peggy was still here, but he's been gone for almost a year now. I know I'll cry on the 30th (almost crying now) but I know he's moved on. This morning when Gabby came in Hallie chased her onto my student chair in the study. It was funny to see her swivel around as either Hallie poked it with her snout, or Gabby tried to extend a paw - my pets are fun and good company for me.

But 52.

My 50th and 51st birthdays were hard to take, but 52, not a worry.
Where will I be in a year' time? Guess I shall have to wait and see.

home, birthdays
