Lost and Found

My mobile phone had been missing since I got back from Perth. Also, Xena, my eldest cat, hadn't been seen for 3-4 days.

Luckily my mobile turned up (under the lounge room sofa) yesterday as I was cleaning. Didn't get very far with the cleaning, as yesterday I was feeling ill and it was definitely a "vegetate in front of the TV" day. But it was nice to get it back. I've been contemplating buying a replacement (with MP3/MP4 capabilities) but now I don't have to.

And Xena turned up this morning as well. I was relieved. She occasionally disappears, sometimes up to a week, but I get worried all the same. However, as I fed her I noticed that her flea collar was wrapped around the inside of one of her front legs. maybe that was the reason I hadn't seen her for a while.

I tried to remove it but she raced off. Then I caught her and tried to remove it a second time on the picnic table but Bobby and Gabby came up to see what was happening and she raced off next door. This part of next door's is separated by a fence from the rest of it, and totally overgrown and has a horse fence to the rear alley.

I went next door to see if I could find her and I did, but it took a sachet of cat food to get her to come close enough so I could remove it. Lots of prickles and thorns next door, but Xenie's worth it.

All this before breakfast!

Now if only my camera bag will turn up...
