I've been watching both the final season of Northern Exposure and the 2nd season of Deadwood in the last week.
It's been a very strange experience to watch an episode of one, and then one or two of the other. Northern Exposure is a gentle comedy that exposes the central nature of human folly set in Alaska, whereas Deadwood a gritty realistic drama of cut throat dealings in North Dakota. They couldn't be more unlike each other if they tried to be!
Very odd, but I like it.
