On Thursday I rearranged the lounge room.
Fair enough, I like doing this at least once every six months, and it usually takes a few days before it settles down to status quo. Only I was still sick, and dead tired by night time. Yesterday I made the mistake of going out.
What I've been interested in was a couple of speakers for my PC, as it's no longer next to the stereo and I don't feed the sound there any more. There were a few options at Glendale but I was too stuffed to decide. I got off the bus and immediately felt dizzy and exhausted, had a sinus headache, and dark cold pains in my chest. I could barely follow anything and when I went in to Subway for lunch could barely read their menus on the wall (mind you they have swapped to spot lighting and grey backgrounds on them). I staggered around the centre for a while. Some things were good, like finding a cheap copy of
Hedwig in Target, but otherwise it was a struggle to be conscious. I went home without buying any speakers.
I also slept for about 12 hours and today, though I still feel off it was a much nicer day, and although I started out just going to the library, I ended up going to Jesmond, The Store, and Westfields! I ended up buying a very very cheap 5.1 system ($25), but not for me, for Kevin! When I got home I broke out the set of tiny metal speakers I bought from the Reject Shop a few months ago. The sound is tinny, but they are loud! Better I use those until I find what I want.
The other thing I was browsing for was a small table lamp. It seems that there's a "Mediterranean model" about the size of a small rubbish bin for between $9-10. After the migraine I had last week, I want to have a spare non-incandescent light handy. No rush though. I like the little lamp, but the base is too light.
Stayin' home tomorrow.
