Power Surge

Just had a power surge/suck and my PC reset.

Kevin thinks that's because the power company is adding power to a few more suburbs. It may be a brief inconvenience, but if that's the case, so much the better.

Much better for them to just do a few substations at a time, rather than the whole grid and get a massive ka-boom!

Get yourself a UPS ASAP. The surge strips are often insufficient. We live in an area
that has a lot of surges and we lost a computer totally because of a surge. Now we
always have a UPS. Even if power goes out for a bit computer remains powered.
