Down with the Flu
Urgh - I'm down bad with the flu.
Sick
Couldn't stay asleep last night. I had an intense ringing in my left ear, and the ear drum was extremely painful as well. My head is all clogged and I cant breath that well unless I lie on my back and prop my head up. My right knee is hurting as well, which doesn't help. Last night I went to bed at 10:30 pm, after dinner, but I felt very billious and kept waking up regularly, even when I did doze off.
This morning I didn't feel much better. I had a few errands to do today - go to the library, visit Jenn, and get to the uni. I got the first two done (I drove teh car instead of take the bus) but just didn't get much further than Jenn's for most of the day. Slept for several hours at her place. Finally got to the uni, just to print one photo, which I've done, and check my mail and live journal. I feel awake right now, but am in a horrible sweat and don't know how long I'll be online.
Broadband
Broadband has finally been connected at home. Kevin was able to to use the ADSL modem that Jenn gave me after all, as the power supply for my dial-up modem was the same type. We didn't have a filter however as that was still at Jenn's, which I picked up today. It was funny, because the phone would ring while teh ADSL was ringing and not affect it, but we couldn't answer until the modem was unplugged.
I haven't actually been on using the broadband just yet, though Kevin has. Probably time he got his PCs back from the Octapod, so we can both have a terminal.
The Car
I had a couple of conversations with my mum while I was having a bath last night (I have a cordless phone). I let slip about the car going out of rego and finding a possible replacement. She phoned back and offered to send $500 for but I didn't want to accept that. It would put her out, and embarriss me. Sigh, maybe I can't affird too much pride on this anymore.
