Coolish for now
This year's Summer is boring into my creative productivity. Saturday was horrible, hot and energy draining. I saw Paranorman at Glendale cinema mostly to sit in an air conditioned room for a while. It was better than expected, but coming out of the cinema afterwards (right next to the bus stop) I was hit by a wall of heat. Rather than wait there for 20 minutes I went over to air-conditioned ALDI and browsed for 15.
But when I got home it was like a sauna inside. I can usually cope with straight heat but the humidity just saps my energy. No comics done on Saturday, and I had two baths - one immediately after getting home, and the other after I sat on something outside that stung me! Gah. Fell asleep by 8:30pm to the sound of thunderstorms and would up at 4am. Watched a repeat of Mike Hammer (how 80s!) and walked the dogs by 5:30, well before sunrise. But the day turned out to be much milder with a cool change.
In fact I got my housework done by 11:30am; drew, formatted and uploaded four pages of Tales of the Galli and felt a lot better by the end of that. Here's the forecast
