Bus Stress

Almost got runover this morning.

I decided to drive my car to Glendale so that I could go food shopping later. That was OK. I was going to the uni first via Wallsend, as I had a lot of library stuff to return. I parked the car, and figured that I had 10-15 minutes before the bus, so I went to Dick Smith and bought a travel Clock.

If I'm going to use bus transport I need to have a watch or a clock on me so that I'm not late.In my experience I find that any wristwatches I have just don't last too long - a month at most. I used to have a chinese travel clock thing that had huge LEDs and even an extra analoguew display! The travel clock in Dick Smiths also had a large display, and buttons that don´t reset themselves when you travel.

Anyway. I went back top the car, got my library and uni stuff and then saw the bus come round the corner. I saw "Wallsend" at the front and ran to catch it. I did, and then when it left realised that it was going to WEST Wallsend, rather than Wallsend. I got off at the first stop, telling the Bus Driver that I made a mistake. He radioed the bus going the other way that was just passing THEN. I got out and started to walk over the road IN FRONT OF the bus ' right into the path of an oncoming car!

It missed me (obviously) and then I ran over the road, carrying three bags and a folder, and got on the bus. Thaten that bus went back to Glendale and I had to change again for a connecting bus that went to Wallsend! DUH! I´d been right about the time I had, but panicked to catch a bus. I was very very shaken, and only just staved off a panic attack.

Got to find a way of unwinding. This can´t go on.

panic attacks, buses
