Overseas Purchase

I just bought some software from overseas. I took advantage of the good exchange rates and the fact that the software in question, did exactly what I wanted, and also that the purchase of an unlimited subscription actually licensed a whol 18 products!

I'm talking about AVS Video Editor, a pretty straightforward Windows Video Editor.  There are cracks for it (and I used one to test it with) but after buying the Adobe CS5 Suite I'm beginning to see the advantages of having legitimate software. Support is more likely, and the poor sod that slaved a gut at the other end to produce it might actually be inspired to improve what they do. I just couldn't find a freeware/open-source equivalent that I liked (Jahshaka is strange, Zwei-Stein crptic, and Wax a bit dodgy). Other programs in the suite I'll use will probably be AVS DVD Authoring, AVS Firewall, AVS Video Converter and a couple of others.

No doubt I'll get comments that I ought to have bough something else, but I've used the AVS editor, and am extremely comfortable with it.
