There's more to Artist's way than just doing the morning pages. On of the exercises I've done for fortnight (week) 2 was drawing a chart of how balanced my life is at the moment.
You draw a circle and put "exercise", "spirituality", "friends", "romance/adventure", "work" and "play" equidistant (about 60 °) around it. Then you draw a dot for each value - at the centre means totally unsatisfactory, at the circle means totally happy with. And finally you connect up these dots to see just how "balanced" your life is.

...for me "work" would be my Masters. Not the best situation is it? The whole point of doing this is motivate oneself into doing something about the situation.
We'll see.
