Steve Black told me "good work"! For those of you who don't know this guy, he is a biology god. I am very honored.
I'm back in Portland now, getting work set up and spending a lot of time goofing off, really. I've moved in completely; I love my room! It's large enough for two twin mattresses and has plenty of light. I've had sleepovers every night! I've just discovered that it has some ants, but I guess they're harmless. I've never lived in town before, save last year in the dorms. It's amazing: my friends are also my neighbors! I also bought a road bike and a tri met pass so now I'm feeling very much like a portlander. And of course, just as soon as I do that, my mom calls me and asks me if I want the Accord. I'm still undecided. I'm worried I'll use it instead of riding my bike when I wouldn't need to, but on the contrary, at times it would be very helpful. I'll probably say yes, but attempt to exercise some willpower.
Oh, good, I don't have TB. The place where they injected it is not irritated. This time the needle didn't scare me (granted it wasn't expected exactly for some reason) and I could even watch what she was doing. This is promising.
Joe, Tracy, Mari, Eric and I watched a movie last night called "Christ in Concrete." We went to Movie Madness (which was sweet) and found this one, banned and "suppressed" or something, so of course, we rented it. Also, the name was hilarious. It turned out to be sad, but painted a good picture of the 20's and onset on the depression and its effects on the laboring class.
But something keeps nagging at me... Why is it raining in the summer??
