day 1 vienna
today was pretty much a long LONG travel day..but nonetheless filled with laughs...we had a 2.5 hr train ride from brussels to amsterdam so we could fly to bratislava and then take a 1.5 hr bus ride into vienna...all this for only 90 euro!! and thats y we did it lol..nehoot we arrived in vienna to a really beautiful family run hotel and relaxed until a nice italian dinner while watching the world cup..
day 2 vienna..today was truely a jam packed wonderful day
we began on ring strasse which is this huge circle that surrounds city center..we saw parliament, the theatre, and the outside gardens of the kunst museum..we then went to the sigmund freud park and then the freud museum!!! i loved it...it had his original waiting room and tons of writings and pictures of him as well as home videos..it then had an exibit called die kouch which was all about the power of the couch in psychology... i then picked up a great psych book, and a poster of freuds couch which i think was really cute..we then headed towards stevensdom which is st.stevens cathedral and so incredible..we went to the observatory and were able to see the roof was tiled in austrias colors and the eagle of the flag..we then bought vienna fingers which were quite good..
we then came back got ready for our great vienna night
we went to a restaurant for some traditional viennese food, after we went to the amazing state opera house where motzart played!!! and saw a beautiful ballet..for a wednesday night the place was packed...very few empty seats which was so nice.
all in all i love vienna and think its a beautiful city that has exceeded my expectations
