School vacation FINALLY. I'm not really that excited though. I feel bored already....
I wish my parents had made me play an instrument or something when I was younger. I want to get a guitar badly but I know I'm going to suck since the last time I played an instrument was the keyboard in 8th grade and I sucked at it. I figure I may as well try it out though but I don't want to be disapointed. Yeah It's hard to explain so I'll just blame it on brain developement. it's always easier to learn when you're younger....
This week was Winter Carnival so we didn't do much but it was a lot of fun. The most fun I've had at school in a long time. The previous Friday was Monochromatic Day, Tuesday was PJ day, Wednesday was cowboy day, Thursday was Ninja Pirate day, and Friday was sports day. Wednesday I had a good laugh with the talent show. A lot of bands played and they were all pretty good. Then a bunch of people just sang without music and that kind of sucked. Then there was the ballet dancer (male, yes. he won 1st). Then there was a juggler who got 2nd and kid who could take off and put on clothes while hopping on a pogo stick.
The Funniest act was probably the boy who had head phones on and he sang to Everclear- Father Of Mine. It was hilarious because you couldn't hear the music and it sounded so weird. When there was only music and no singing he would just say 'Yeah' a few times. The best part was when he sang
'It wasn't easy for me to be a scared white boy in a black neighborhood' and everyone started laughing.
The ending of the show was incredibly corny. This boy and girl who are freshman (like me) sang a duet. It was painful to watch especially because the guy kept trying to kiss the girl on the lips but she would turn her head so he would kiss her cheek.
Of course Seniors won Winter Carnival so my sister was happy. Freshman came in last of course but we were only 5 points behind the sophmores. Juniors and Seniors were way ahead because of course the contest is rigged and they gave tons of points for the car stereo contest and freshman and sophmores don't have cars for the most part :P.
