Capture the Flag = Take the Stupid Flag

Ahh...fun night last night. My dear soon-to-be preacher friend, Thad, calls me up and informs me that a pretty intense game of Capture the Flag will be taking place at Scott's house. So I meet him and we go over there to find everyone dressed in solid black with war paint on. I change into some of Scott's old black sweats and we divide into teams. Pretty sure my team cheated in every way possible...but that's just how you play, right? My job was to guard the flag. I hid under this bench about 10 feet from the flag, but my team was so good that no one ever got close to the flag at all. So I pretty much napped there. After three games, which we won, we decided to play one last game before calling it quits. I decided, without team approval, to just sit on the steps to the deck (where our flag was) and chat with people as they came by. I was pretty tired of this game and really wanted it to be over. So the first person from the other team who came over was like "Where's your flag?" I pointed to its general direction and then sat there some more while he dug for it. As he grabbed it, I sort of made an attempt to chase him, performed my team duty in notifying everyone that the enemy had the flag, and then sat back down to watch everyone chase him. They won, but that's cool. That was my goal anyway. Finally they called the game off, Rich blew fire out of his mouth with a torch and some lighter fluid, then we all hopped in the back of Thad's truck and drove to Sonic. Let me tell you...it's still really cold at night when you're riding in the back of a truck. Just as we pulled on the main road, we see blue lights coming towards us, so then we stop to think if this is even legal. As the cop got closer, all we could think to do was duck. Now, there's not a lot of room in the back of a truck with 8 people in it, so more or less it just looked like a pile of concentration camp prisoners. We pulled over, and lo and behold, the cop wasn't even after us! We continued on to Sonic and enjoyed the rest of our night, but wow...I could just see them calling my mom to tell her that I was being held by the police again. (Remind to tell you later of my previous HPPA violation at the hospital, in which my driver license was confiscated and my rights were read to me. They should put warning labels on the hospital computers that contain patient records!) Okay,so that was pretty much the end of my night. Not terribly exciting, but considering the past three weeks, it was a blast. Now back to laying around the house and seeing how many times I can vacuum my floor. <3
