It's Snowing!
Yeah! I love snow. Snow is good. It's purty. :)
I have decided to change my major. I will no longer be pursuing nursing. It is not for me. I had a horrible experience at one of my clinicals, and basically, that was the icing on the cake for me. I quit the program almost a month ago, and dropped all of my nursing classes for this semester. I guess technically, I disenrolled from the whole semester. But oh well. I hated clincals. All of the nurses at the hospital were all miserable and hated their jobs, and bicthed about everything...do I really want to do that for the rest of my life?? I think not.
So, I researched a few programs at UM-Flint that I thought I might be interested in, and I chose a new major: Visual Arts Education, aka Art Teacher. I will start the new program in January. Surprisingly, almost all of the lower lever art classes have to be taken at Mott CC. So, I am an "Art Consortium" student. I get financial aid from UM-Flint, and they give me aid as if I were taking all of my classes at Um-Flint (at $240/credit)....BUT, I take 9 of my 12 credits at Mott ($60/credit). So that means I will have alot of financial aid $ left over! Woot woot. Financial aid is a beautiful thing, especially when you are married and poor, lol.
And...did I mention it is snowing? I love snow! I love Christmas too. Our tree is packed away in our storage unit (we ended up moving out of our townhouse, and moved in with my dad...sigh), but maybe we will have room to set it up. After Christmas, when our financial aid comes, we should be able to get a new, cheaper apartment. Yeah!
