Things to Awesome-Up Your Monday
1. elizardbits posted this video on her journal and I basically haven't stopped laughing since. I'm hard-pressed to choose a favorite quote because the whole thing is just UNENDINGLY HILARIOUS. Trust me. WATCH IT, WATCH ITTT!
2. Credit to wanttobeatree for bringing this article into my life: Drunk Swedish elk found in apple tree near Gothenburg. Do you really need more lead-in to make you click that? No. No you do not. XD
3. 100 Years of Fashion in 100 Seconds: this video is SO COOL, eeeee! It makes me clutch my face in geeky fashion delight. I love how they made the music so cohesive, and the dancing is AMAZING, not to mention the incredibly awesome outfits! Watching it just makes me want to go out dancing, dressed to the nines. *_*
4. Moving on to a couple of fandomy things, I was terribly amused by this article describing 10 Reasons Why Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters Would Be a Horrible Place to Be Educated. Professor X: install some safety measures, please! XD
5. You may remember that I linked to Myths Retold in last week's AUYM; bertee then went ahead and retold the first two episodes of Supernatural in the same style. Spoiler alert: THEY'RE AWESOME AND HYSTERICALLY FUNNY, and bertee is amazing. You should go read them now. :>
6. I think this counts as fandom-related; gypsy_sunday linked to this video of Alex Day (from Alex Reads Twilight, which I linked to many moons ago and which you should go watch all of if you don't remember it) taking his older cousin to see The Lion King for the first time. As usual, it's excellent. XD
7. I really like these color photographs of Egypt in the 1920s! So lovely--my favorite is all the colorful hats lined up together, or perhaps the one with the banyan trees. :D (You may want to avoid the comments, though, there are a couple of... questionable ones.)
8. Did you miss the wonderful Freddie Mercury Google frontpage video? Here it is! This is one of my absolute favorite songs ever, so I was so happy to see this. ♥
9. You probably knew that people from different regions in the U.S.A. have different words for that carbonated, flavored stuff we drink, but did you know there's an interactive map telling you who says what? :D Check out The Great Pop Vs. Soda Controversy!
10. Last but not least, if you feel like losing an hour or so of your life, go look at the Mysteries category on Wikipedia. So many unsolved mysteries, so little time...
