Awesome-Up Your Monday: Things My Dad Sent Me Edition
Hi everyone! It's Monday, and that means it's time for me to try make the start of your week more enjoyable by sharing awesome links with you. YAY! :D
THIS WEEK it is exactly what it says on the tin: a post made up entirely of awesome things my dad sent me. YEAH, that's right, my dad is just that cool! He emails me crazy stuff on a regular basis, and now I shall share it with you. 8D I'm still really behind in my queue of awesome things I meant to post, because I've wanted to do this for aaaages!
Things to Awesome-Up Your Monday (Courtesy of My Dad)
1. A video explaining how the internet is made of cats. Need I say more? No, I thought not.

2. The anatomy of a news segment--okay, I thought this would be boringly educational, but actually it is CLEVER and HILARIOUS and subtly educational! AWESOME. I love love love how accurate it is, too, oh man.
3. Gnome Chomsky. AHAHAH OKAY MAYBE THIS IS ONLY FUNNY IF YOU LOVE LINGUISTICS, but I'm sorry, I thought it was hilarious. LOOK AT HIS LITTLE FACE. ♥
4. A collection of photographs wherein googly eyes have been added to inanimate objects, mostly food. UM, if there is anything more awesome than this in the world, I don't know what it could be. THIS is my favorite. 8)
5. 17 Things Worth Knowing About Your Cat. Oh man, this is by the same guy who did that one on coffee I posted a while ago, and it is similarly chock full of fascinating facts! Do you know who invented the catflap, for example? WELL GO FIND OUT, THEN. Learn something, youngin'!
6. SCIENCE COOKIES! Oh man, so cool. There's not really an easy gallery browse feature, so I'm just going to link them all here: cephalopod, lab mice, petri dish, gingerbread scientists, gel electrophoresis (wow, I have no idea what that is, BUT THESE ARE COOL), Dropsophila melanogaster (flies), zebrafish (sparkly!), atoms, and the crowning glory, THE PERIODIC TABLE. Man, I just love these--they are clever AND they contain two of the awesomest things ever: science and food. What's not to like? *_*
7. VERY SILLY (but also potentially startling; be prepared for loud noise): Death Metal Rooster.
8. CUTEST THING EVER: capybaras bathing in a hot pool in Japan. Their blissful little faces! ♥ SO DAMN ADORABLE, I nearly can't stand it.
You know who should have a pet capybara? SAM WINCHESTER. I WILL JUST GIVE YOU A MOMENT TO PONDER HOW AWESOME THAT WOULD BE.
9. I love this so much that I saved it for last: paper roll collage art. This is just mind-blowingly creative, and I LOVE the effect and the photos. I don't know how to describe their awesomeness, but trust me, you'll love them.
