Hi everyone! It's Monday, and that means it's time for me to (hopefully!) make the start of your week more enjoyable by sharing awesome links with you. Yay!
Things to Awesome-Up Your Monday
1. gypsy_sunday sent me this and it's going first because it's AMAZING. I can't even articulate how cool it is. It's SO CREATIVE, and beautiful, and eerie. Translating a book to film or animation is so difficult, and this is just an AWESOME interpretation of these words.
Click to view2. Next, something much lighter: 8-Bit Christmas. Scroll down a little and there's a music player on the left, with versions of 12 Christmas songs in 8-bit--BASICALLY, if Christmas were a video game, this is what it would sound like. This is awesome even if you don't celebrate Christmas, because Christmas carols get played sooo often in malls and things this time of year anyway that you're BOUND to get one stuck in your head at some point--that's when you can come here, listen to one of these to remedy that awful autotuning ringing in your brain, and then go on your happy way! Yay.
3. From jazzy_peaches, a game that I have played way too often this week: Cheese or Font? It gives you a word and YOU MUST DECIDE: fancy cheese or sans-serif? This is just hilarious and awesome.
4. This is a two-minute academic talk--okay, that may sound unappealing, but it's really interesting! It's basically about ingrained cultural perceptions. C'mon, trust me, expand your mind a little. :D
5. betweenthebliss sent me Married to the Sea a bit ago, and it's AWESOME. Basically, vintagey pictures + hilarity = awesome comics. The link is to the archive, which has 700+ comics, so uh, you'll have plenty to do. *grin*

6. I apologize for the song I'm about to get stuck in your head.
Okay. I'm not a huge K-pop fan, but this video my friend sent me, man. THIS VIDEO IS RIDICULOUS. It's so, so hilarious--the lyrics are incredibly insane, to begin with (they rhyme fantastic and elastic and it's supposed to be romantic or compelling or SOMETHING, I don't even know anymore), but even better, the video is ALSO INSANE. This is like, Lady Gaga amplified by ten thousand. WARNING: it will get stuck in your head. WARNING: you will laugh. A lot.
7. Okay, let's go with something sane to bleach your brain after that! :D Check out this awesome article about a phone box library!
8. And now for something with SCIENCE, which as you may or may not know, fascinates me. :D This gallery of microbe portraits is amazing and beautiful! I can't believe things like this even exist, they look straight out of scifi. *_*
9. And last but certainly not least: 40 Unseen Moments From Your Favorite Movies. This is basically cut scenes, but I've never seen a great deal of them, and stuff like this just fascinates me. This is worth it for the incredible Star Wars ones alone, but there's a lotta awesome here. :D
