"Sam--" Dean says. His eyes are closed and he's locking his breath tight inside him. She's so close it feels like her heart's beating under his own skin; he smooths a hand shakily over the curve of her waist and swallows, tipping his head to the side.
She rubs her hips up against his, lets her warm lips brush against his ear. "He's the one who said we should," she whispers, and kisses him.

She peers sourly at the charming way his eyes crinkle at the corners and the endearingly lazy line of his slouch. Yes, she thinks, you most probably will.

Spock blinks down at the head of curly hair resting on his chest, and raises an eyebrow. "This is highly illogical," he murmurs, stroking a strand behind the girl's ear.
"Yes, well," says the man in the dressing gown vaguely, leaning forward.

"I had a job," she tells him, and it's all she can do to keep the dial switched to anger. She digs her nails into the skin on her arm, scraping at the stupid symbols branded there. "I had a job, and you fucking just up and get me--fucked over with this, this--"
"I'm sorry," he says, and pulls her gently in against his chest, where she crumples.

This is probably the third time Jim's woken up as a unicorn, all told. If you're counting that time on Risa, anyway. The golden horn, though--that's new. He turns one eye to look at Bones questioningly.
"Dammit Jim," sighs Bones from beside the bed, "I'm a doctor, not a veterinarian."
