Geeze, you guys, today I am really running-on-nothing TOO ENERGETIC and RIDICULOUSLY TIRED at the same time. So these might not be as amusing or noteworthy as they usually are. Just LEMME KNOW if you want a refund, and I will, uh, do something very clever and get you your time back! Scout's honor. Two videos this week because that's what I've been finding lately.
1. First up:
How Crayons Are Made. Okay, maybe that sounds super boring, but trust me, this video is AWESOME. It's from original Sesame Street, so 1970-something, and the music is really cool, and the video is ~colorful~, and there are all these adorable be-glasses'd (okay, fine, we'll go with convention, glasses-wearing) old people working in the crayon factory. They and this video are charming.
2. In keeping with the theme of People Were Insane in the Seventies, No Really, Especially Americans:
"Trippy 1970s U.S. Propaganda Video." It was supposed to be for the bicentennial, but I can't imagine where they would have run it without getting a million calls about setting off epileptic seizures. I am also 99.9% sure the people who made this were on LSD. It is pretty much Misha Collins level of crazy.
3. Not a video time!
EXTREMELY WEIRD IDEA TIME. This is a pillow shaped like a chest. A MAN'S chest. For those lonely nights??? Man, I don't even know. It is both creepy and hilarious. And the creepiest/most hilarious part is this review at the bottom:
"I bought this pillow to keep my company on nights when my husband, a correspondent for the Trans-Alaskan News Network, was out of town. The pillow exceeded even my wildest expectations. I'm told the pillow was modeled after Brad Pitt, and I believe it! When I first nestled against the soft, but firm chest of my new "husband" I slept better than I ever had before. Now I don't mind when my husband goes out of town!"
. . . Maybe the theme of today should be disturb-up your Monday instead of awesome-up your Monday. D:
4. Okay, after that I'd better put something not terrifying, huh. Well, I realize I put a link about cats every week, so NEXT WEEK I WILL PUT A DOG LINK INSTEAD, but for now, you should go read about the
cat who is a station master of a train station in Japan. I kid you not; there are crazy hats and silly outfits and everything. (Okay, and
one cute picture of a dog this week, because I am an equal opportunity animal lover and can't stand to leave cute puppies out. :D)
5. Perhaps I am the last person to know about this, BUT:
here is a particularly useful link if you want to make your text obnoxiously sparkly. Which one does, sometimes.
Aaaand I'm putting in two smaller extra things this week, because I have the power.
6.
This is the most useless beautiful indescribable website I have ever seen.
7.
This is silly and always makes me go "hahaha."
ALL RIGHT THEN. Now it's time for lunch because I am REALLY hungry, then catching up on Harper's Island and working some. \o/
