I am truly surprised that I passed the MPRE. I honestly didn't know most of the answers; a lot of the questions weren't even about topics I had studied. But it's a good sign for me AND the law, because I just ended up picking what I think the rule SHOULD be.
I am confused, though, and hoping that I'm not mistaken in thinking I passed. The "scaled scores" range from 50-150, with median 100. In Michigan, the old required score was 75 and the new required score is 85. But how can that be? I know they can't make the requirement the median; then half of people would fail. But 75 seems really low, and 85 still seems pretty low. I got 118. My friend who failed must have not studied AT ALL. At the end of the test they asked how many hours you spent studying and I think my answer was the lowest option. Anyway, I'm relieved.
Hopefully my good test luck continues. I need to pass the bar! And somehow I have to make myself study for it during the summer. I don't have that kind of self discipline.
