Well,
Italy is amazing, it is everything I had hoped that it would be, and more! It was such a culture shock landing at Fumincino...I cannot imagine what it would be like to be in another country where you dont know ANY of the language, at least we were able to navigate and speak to people...I love it here, Orvieto is from a dream, I'm sure of it...everyday I wake up and think 'this must be fake, a place this perfect cannot possibly exist'...the cobble stone streets, the massive duomo in the middle of the city, the shops, the food the clothes hanging from every window, it's too much to take in!
We've already had the 'eurotrip' experiences, men peeing in the streets naked, talking with Angelo, an Italian lawyer on the train who speaks no english for hours, becoming friends with the locals, drinking and dancing, using the trains to travel, feeling hot, exhausted and completely happy all at the same time!
We've already been to Roma, Orvieto and Firenze and we're planning to see at least 6 more cities, oh this is heaven! Well enough with the internet, who wants to sit inside when cappuccino, gnocchi, vino, men and gelato are calling your name!!??
