I hate where I live.
Before I rant, I'd like to send out a sincere thank you to rocketchick , sydneygirl1903 , and newromantic09 . You guys rock. idk what special surprise I'm going to write/make/do for you guys yet, but I'm brainstorming. <3
Uhm, anyway. So I turned in a job application yesterday. And the head guy said he was going to go ahead and put me on the schedule and do the paperwork today. So I ride on up there to fill out the paperwork. Turns out, his wife, hired a shit load of people without telling him. He looked absolutely embarrassed; I've been there many times working for our marching band's fundraisers and I've never seen this guy show emotion. He looked like he just peed his pants. Shocked the hell out of him. His wife disappeared into the office and never even came out to talk to me, let alone apologize. The place is small, I could see exactly what was going on. They sent one of their employees to tell me they already hired people. She said they'd keep my application and would call if they had an opening. At this point, with the lack of organization and the lack of responsibility, I don't even really wanna work there. And the rest of the places around here, you have to know somebody to get the job. They even ADMIT that. Most are family-owned, so they don't have to do the equal opportunity crap--or they get away with it.
I'm done. It's stupid.
