Disclaimer: Actually, yes, I am JK Rowling and I'm wasting my time posting fics on the internet. *guh* No, I lied. Really. Apart from the fact that Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter have currently taken up board inside my brain...I do not own them. Only the sordid little affairs they partake in. Even then, I don't own them completely. Holy dooly, this is making me quite depressed.

Authors Notes: This was written for
jamie2109 AWDT prompt which was; "I think he'll appreciate that..." Very short drabble thing.
Draco hated the fact that Harry had a fan club.
The Hogwarts branch had a total of four hundred and sixty-eight members. Four hundred and sixty-eight. They followed him around everywhere. On the way to classes he would be bombarded with students waving bits of parchment for him to sign and magazine articles to verify. They would probably go and find a baby for Harry to kiss, if they thought he might appreciate it, Draco thought bitterly.
It wasn’t that he didn’t love Harry; he did. And it wasn’t that Harry didn’t deserve recognition; he did. It’s just that…a fan club? They had badges and they had t-shirts. They had posters and they had pamphlets. For Merlin’s bloody fucking sake, they even had miniature figurines. One’s that undressed.
Draco and Harry rarely got time together. Harry wasn’t that often at school on the weekends…he played professional Quidditch for the Montrose Magpies. And at school students were always milling around him. Drooling.
The Daily Prophet often reported on how Draco Malfoy was ravishing Harry Potter between classes, between Quidditch matches, between meals, basically twenty-four seven.
“If only it were fucking true!” Draco slammed down the offending newspaper and the Slytherin’s around him started. He threw the paper at Blaise and stood up. Eyes traveled up and down his body…from all the way down to the first years.
“Potter!” he said loudly across the Hall. The people at the other tables looked up. “Time for me to ravish you.” Harry looked up from his toast and blinked. He looked so gorgeous that Draco wished he could. He just wanted to see Harry looking at him, he wanted to see Harry holding him. He was sick of playing second fiddle to everybody else on the fucking planet.
Harry gave a lopsided grin from his place at his table and raised his pumpkin juice as if in cheers. Lavender Brown sprinted from her place at the Gryffindor table over to Draco.
“Malfoy,” she said business like. “I’m secondary presidential assistant in the Hogwarts chapter of the Harry Potter fan-
“Fuck off!” shouted Draco, and not caring how his hair had fallen over his eyes, not caring how Professor McGonagall had stood up sternly, and not seeing that Harry Potter was looking adoringly at him. “I don’t care about his stupid fan base. I don’t care how many times he’s caught the snitch under the minute, I don’t fucking care that he’s the greatest wizard of all time.” He took a deep breath and his gaze tore into Lavender’s shocked face. “I don’t care how much the goddamn public love him. I love him more, because he’s fucking mine!”
And with that Draco Malfoy turned on his heel and stormed out the Great Hall, ignoring the simpering girls that shot after him.
Lavender watched the Slytherin Prince sweep out of the Hall and cursed again how unlucky it was that he was gay. She looked down at her parchment and sighed. He didn’t even listen to what she had to say.
Harry was walking cautiously towards the massive doors of the Great Hall. As Lavender made a beeline for him, he quickened his pace.
“Harry! Wait!” she moved in front of him, and Harry couldn’t help but scowl.
“For Merlin’s sake, Lavender. Can’t you see I-
“No!” she said sharply. “It’s not about you…the rest of the Hogwarts chapter of the Harry Potter Fan Club were wondering…”
And as she finished, talking fast to keep Harry’s interest as his eyes kept drifting towards the exit where Malfoy had disappeared. But by the end of Lavender’s spiel Harry was smiling and nodding.
The last thing the rest of the school heard before Harry finally left the Hall was a candid, “I think he’ll appreciate that.”
The next day the Hogwarts chapter of the Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy Fan Club began its first day in operation with a total list of four hundred and sixty-nine members. four hundred and sixty-nine!

Did it make sense? I was kind of worried about the flow of this one...
