[The video turns on to reveal blanket. There's a tiny muffled squeak at that and the blanket clears away from the screen to show a little lump moving away under the blanket on the top bunk of Rudy and Mike's bunk bed. The lump travels until it reaches the barrier around the edge, which it bonks into, and there's another muffled squeak.

[The squeaking is enough to rouse Rudy, who extracts himself from his own bunk and peers up to Mike's, blinking imperturbably as he is greeted not with the expected blond hair and boyish features, but with brown fur and beady eyes.

Naturally, his facial expression never wavers, but there is a definite gleam of something akin to amusement in his eyes.]

[Latin? Mike decides to nod anyway, to prove he IS Webster. Nodding is a bit difficult, but he manages.]

You appear to be a beaver.

[And Rudy's daemon skitters up onto his shoulder, thus answering the unasked question of whether or not he's still cursed, himself.]

Aside from the spontaneous acquisition of fur and buck teeth, how are you feeling?

[Mike stares at Rudy for a moment, eyes his daemon rather nervously (because he is a small rodent, now) and then nods again. Yep. He's a beaver alright. He tries reaching out slightly for Rudy with his stubby forearms but they aren't all that great at reaching.

So instead, he decides to try and communicate a sense of Danger! mixed with Get me down from here! and does so by turning around and slapping his tail against the bed. Because he is a beaver.]

Not the talking variety, either. Hold still.

[Fortunately, Rudy has retained the use of his opposable thumbs this weekend, and Mike is relatively small, as animals go. No trouble at all to lift him down--though he does keep Mike in his arms, rather than depositing him on the floor.]

Where to?

[Mike kind of. Tries to burrow impossibly into Rudy's arms away from the ferret. But being actually human, he works out fairly shortly that he's going to be fine and sits up to point to the floor. He just wanted to get off the top of the bunkbed.]

Ah. Mime. An innovative solution.

[As bidden, he carefully sets Mike down and makes sure the bedroom door is wide open, giving him plenty of room to go and come if he pleases.]
