leftover easter chicken

...makes a damn good sandwich.

so this weekend was pretty great.  skipped work on friday so i could go to a health careers fair and hopefully find some possible employers.  i'll get back to this later.  anyway, after that mr bing and i eventually make the trek home, where i had not been since christmas break, o my! saturday consisted of the dentist, lunch and shopping with shannon and ash, nate coming up, us watching half of cast away, then goin to upper deck with a whole slew of people. VERY good time!  it was the first time i have felt completely content in a long while.  i really miss everyone at home.

easter was pretty low key. nate left, and my mom had to work, but my dad made a nice big meal.  after that, the rest of the day was mostly cleaning up, attempting to study but falling asleep for two hours instead, and then driving home.  i didn't get any work done and i'm gonna be paying for it the rest of today, but that's ok, it was worth it.

sooo of all the schools i applied to, i didn't get in anywhere for the fall, thanks to retardedly backed up waiting lists.  i have a damn 4.0 in all of the prerequisites, and still nothing. hurrah.  i'm at least happy to be able to make a plan, now that i know.  so i'm currently on a job search at hospitals in the providence area.  hence my attending the job fair, where i spoke with a nice woman from human resources at RIH.  i told her my deal and she gave me her card and told me to call her and she'd try to help me get a job.  so that's good.  i've applied to a couple already.  at least i'll have benefits and can start paying my loans off until i finally get into a school.

also, nate got a new full time job, one with lots of perks and benefits and room for advancement.  it's in warwick, where he also goes to school, so he will be moving in with J in pawtucket next month.  i'm really happy for him.  at first i was upset about him moving 45 min away, but it looks like i'll be following him as soon as i can, now that i know i won't be in school.  see, J is offering us the whole upstairs for only 300 dollars a month each, including utilities.  and if i'm gonna be working in providence, that's a damn good deal.  but i'm not about to pull a jon, so i'll be staying in bristol probably til the end of summer (or however long we decide to stay here), and then moving up there.

but anyway. i'm hoping to find a job soonish so i can get out of gold medal and be able to have a normal social life during the summer.

in other news, there's a lot of stuff i'm looking forward to in the near future!  dmb tickets for the summer tour are goin on sale in a couple weeks, and shelby and i are gonna go to at least two shows.  i was thinking about a third and we could get a group together,  but i dunno if anyone out there would be interested.  even if you don't really like them, tailgating is wicked fun and it's great live music.  we get lawn seats, which are the cheapest and in my opinion the most fun.  so lemme know.  they're in mass august 1st and 2nd and in hartford the 4th and 5th.

also, going to visit shelby in a few weeks to go out and see the killers! yay!  and a few weeks after thattt...floooridddaaa!  so excited, haven't been out of new england in years lol. and we're totally gonna tear up pleasure island.

umm yeah. i'd love to write more, but i have a day's worth of work to get done. peace out!
