today was good, I woke up nice and early, and we headed out to the prague castle. this place is pretty cool. it feels like an actual midieval aged city that has become modernized... not like the other cities I've been to. I think a lot of that has to do with the lack of bombing and fighting that happened in every other city during the world wars. the architecture and scenery is great, and the history as well. tycho brahe was from here (some of you might know who the real guy is), along with a ton of other historically important people. the castle itself isn't much of a castle, but more of like a palace... due to the lack of turrets and walls, which for the most part have been replaced with buildings during the years. in the courtyard is a huge cathedral that is pretty cool, I got to climb the bell tower, which gives an awesome view of the city. the president still resides there, so there's guards standing at strict attention to the entrances to different areas... they remind me of beef eaters or something. on the way to the castle, I saw a door opening in a wall, so we decided to investigate. it turned out to be a doorway to a 16th century garden, which was in my opinion awesome. there a quarter of the wall on the inside was made in a technique called 'dripstone'. it looks like natural lava that has cooled, forming into a wall going up 20 feet. the wall gives of a freaky feeling that there is more than meets the eye, which there is. there are holes and crevasses, which leads to stairways, and if you look hard enough, you can see faces in it, along with frogs, snakes, etc. there are even live owls that are in one area of it.
last night, I played a game of poker, and raked in mad cash... all of which was used immediately after for the best drinking game I've ever played. it involved a chess board, two coins, beer, and people. I don't want to explain the game, because I have things to do at this time... even though it wouldn't take long to explain, and chances are that you'll read whatever I write, no matter how boring it gets. well.. ok, maybe not, hell no one is prob reading this at all. the game is kind of like mow, in a sense that the game rules are made up by everyone as the progresses, and penalties usually consist of drinking, and trust me, there tend to be quite a few penalties. we must have emptied out the tap a few times last night. luckily for me, I wandered off somewhere at about 11 last night, and went to bed close to midnight. so even though I wasn't planning on going to bed early, I did without knowing it. heh, I'm ahead of the game without knowing it.
funny my stalker died on me... figured it wasn't going to last all that much longer anyways.
six days to go, and then I'm outta here. tomorrow I might head over to the monastery where Mendel discovered the laws of heredity using pea plants and bees. sweet huh?
