We saw a Mastiff and it needed a rescue
So we were walking along Bainbridge street this afternoon and saw a LARGE dog laying on the sidwalk. We approached to confirm what we thought... that it was a neapolitan Mastiff.... but when we got up to him, he was scraggy and WAY overweight and looked almost injured, his feet were so fat the pads were coming through between the toes. We asked what he was mixed with. he got all kionds of indignant that he had gotten a pure breed dog he spent 2 grand for him and he made him tough and he can be violent. I was PISSED!!
Neo's are gentle by nature, you would have to ABUSE them to make them tough. The dog was the same age as Hey Zeus and was 80 pounds more! The owner had let his mastiff grow way too fast. the dog's joints did not grow the way they should have and he is lucky to have the dog for another year. The dog's tail, skin, and testicles were ALL deformed!
I was just angry that the puppy was being abused and this idiot could not see it! Thank god we found Hey Zeus, or else HE could ahve been under that ass's control!
