SIAM Conference

Well the conference is over and my presentations and my advisors somewhat successfully given. I don't know if I went a little to fast, or didn't have enough detail but I ended up being a few minutes shorter than I would have liked. Nobody seemed terribly impressed, although there was at least a couple of questions meaning I didn't lose anyone. It was also bad because it was the last day of the conference and people (as in lots of people) were already bailling. Sooo... I guess its a great big "meh!". The rest of the conference was good, met some good people, had some fun at dinners and stuff. Threw myself into pre-graduation angst, because I think I might want to be a professor now, or at least I need to think about it some more.

It's kind of sad now, everyone I got to know has left and I'm sitting in a strange dorm by myself with no car. All I have to do is pack and then tomorrow morning get on the boat to Seattle and friday night fly out on the red eye. I'm really glad to be going home, even if it is Hot-lanta.
