Confrence!
So I'm going to a confrence like 3000 miles away from my school and even in a another country to give a presentation at the end of June, and I'm already nervous enough since this is the first time I've presented "real" work and a "real" confrence. On top of that, Fan Chung and my advisor are going to be there for my talk (both are decently big names in my specialization, if not my field). Then I find out today, that my department head is going to be at the conference, as well as the most intimadating person in our department! Why! Why me! Why can't a I just give my talk to an empty room so that it can look pretty on my CV, without anybody being there who will think it's stupid!!! I mean its not like its right by school! It is even in another country, and not that exciting of one at that! (Sorry Canada! ;-))
