Life as of Late
Things are great with me. I feel good.
I thought I had a networking meeting this morning at 7:30a so I got up early to ride my Lifecycle then headed out. Once in the parking lot, I realized it was tomorrow! Doh. So since I was on that side of town anyway, I ran by the McCain office and got a yard sign. Well, I got two in case the first gets stolen. It looks beautiful in my yard - or should I say my husband's yard - he does all the yardwork.
Cal and I are going to a Halloween party as Morticia and Gomez Addams so I went to Hancock fabrics yesterday for a patten and fabric. I chose the closest pattern, but it's going to need some modifications to make it tight at the bottom and I'll need to get some other fabric for the sleeve extensions. The fabric I got was sort of a think t-shirt material. Very stretch. That'll be a challenge to work with. I think I might start cutting the pattern today. I have a rule, I never cut and sew on the same day. Cutting is the most time-consuming part so I'd likely rush through the sewing part if I did. For Cal's costume, I think we're going to try Goodwill for a oversized pinstripped suit before I commit to sewing for him.
My trip to Wisconsin is all booked! I'm going October 18th for the baby shower on the 19th then my sister is flying back with me and we are going to spend a few days in New York City. Fun, fun, fun!
I might go back to my former workplace to have lunch with my buds.
