My father served in the Legions. His father served in the Legions. So forth and so on, my forefathers served in the Legions, all the way back to the early expansionist periods; back before some shitheaded spaniard 'found' the Americas.
The Empire has survived nearly three millenia with the dogs of the Legions protecting it's borders. While we fought, the senate negotiated. While we secured Rome's earliest borders, the praetors made deals with our enemies. Now look at what we have to work with, this year 3010 AE.
The Tsarist States to the East. The Empire of the Dragon to the Far East. The Gods-damned Persian Empire. And those thrice-damned savages from Brittania. At least we have the Unified Tribes of Afrika on our side.
Of course, this is all just the wine speaking. We've come far these three millenia. Roman history is the history of Terra. This is a land of Empires, and we will forever remain at the top. I mean, c'mon, the Dragon Empire is suffering from food riots from the Yangtze to the Korean Peninsula. The Tsarists might be some of the most reclusive bastards we've ever fought, but at least they hate the Asians more than us. And The Persians aren't all that bad. After all, My wife is Persian. And those fucking Brittanians, hah hah hah. My FATHER is Brittanian!
Anyway, I've got to get back to the Legion and get some sleep. We're supposed to be making another push against the Americans again. Yeah, I know, they call themselves the Aztecs, but we've been calling them Americans for too damn long now. Screw political correctness.
Hail Ceasar.
